Policy: Everything Hits

Skyline stake out.

If we were to coin a gimmicky subgenre, just to describe the music of Policy, we would go for ‘skyline-gaze’. The tender, garage-paced house tracks of the New Yorker are a perfect fit for staring at tall, moonlit buildings — preferably those of NYC.

The man’s debut LP fires roughly processed drums, soulful vocal samples, and dreamy pads just within the earshot — making the vibe of Everything Hits is a subtle, yet striking club-experience within the walls of your home. Listen to cuts from the record down here, and get the whole deal when it’s out through Amsterdam’s Rush Hour
