Inspired by Japanese techno-pop, 90s anime, and a handful of sci-fi movies, D.V. Caputo projects his visions of a near future on everyone who’s able to receive these messages from far beyond. By effectively using old FM synthesizers and razor-sharp drum programming, the NYC based prognosticator builds new landscapes and eventuating cities that we wish we could enter with our physical bodies. The fast paced and rave-like rhythms make Emotion Engine his most dance-able track to date — especially with the layers of flagrant keyboard melodies, and the unavoidable bubbly bass line that bursts in every now and then. A system overload never sounded so exhilarating.
